The 48FO (6x8) Duct + ADSS Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cable SM G.652.D from Cablescom is a Universal Fiber Optic Cables with 48FO. Aerial self support figure 8 fiber optical cable configuration is the one in which the conductors and the steel strand which supports the cable are integrally jacketed. The cable portion is attached integrally with stranded steel messenger wires. Suitable for Aerial installation except on power lines. The cable design provides easy and economical one step installation and stable performance over a wide temperature range and is compatible with any telecommunication grade optical fibre. The strength member is designed to withstand the tensile forces of the installation and may be metallic or non-metallic. The design configurations of this cable consist of central tube or stranded loose tube.

The 48FO (6x8) Duct + ADSS Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cable SM G.652.D from Cablescom is a ADSS - Aerial cable with 48 fibers within 6 loose tubes. This distribution cable for optical networks has a multitube structure with polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) sheath with a water-repellent compound to prevent the progression of water inside and a fiber-glass reinforcement plastic central element, allowing it to be totally dielectric. PKP outer sheath and aramid yarns as traction resistant. The optical fibers comply with ITU-T recommendations G.652.D and are generally in accordance with the specification of ADIF ET 03 366 780 9 Ed. 6th.

Applications

For outdoor use; Installation in outside plant underground conduits or ADSS Aerial overhead lines. For transmission systems in 1310 and 1550 nm using ITU-T G.652.D fiber.

For the OS2 G.652 fiber there are 4 subcategories: G.652.A, G.652.B, G.652.C, G.652.D.

The OS2 G.652.D single-mode fibers are the most used type of fiber for networking and communications applications. The OS2 G.652.D fiber type provides a zero dispersion at 1310nm wavelength therefor it is optimized for operation in the 1310nm Wavelength. The regular performance remains on the 1550nm wavelength.
