This aerial cable for optical networks has a dielectric suspension strand of 5,0 mm FRP as self-supporting element and a polyethylene outer sheath. The PBT loose tubes (diameter 2,3 mm) are filled with a thixotropic filling compound and stranded around a central FRP support element, with a lay length of 90 mm to 130 mm. The optical fibers comply with ITU-T recommendations G.652.D.
