The Aerial Fibre Node, Maximum capacity 24 SC Simplex Adaptors (Part number: 857-01561) from HellermannTyton is a Fiber Termination Boxes that allow connection between multiple operators and customers.
The AFN – Aerial Fibre Node enclosure is an environmentally resilient enclosure which has been designed and manufactured for deployment within the last mile of an FTTx network. The enclosure will provide an aerial fibre consolidation point (FCP) and a demarcation point between the carrier and the customer premise and can be used in a P2P (Point to Point) or P2MP (Point to Multi-Point/GPON)) networks with the addition of splitters (connectorized or bare ended), pigtails and adaptors providing a maximum of 24 customer connections.
IP55 is an Ingress Protection (IP) rating that indicates an electrical enclosure's ability to resist the ingress of solid objects and water. The first 5 in IP55 refers to its level of protection against solid objects, while the second 5 indicates protection against water jets from all directions. This rating is commonly used in outdoor environments where equipment may be exposed to heavy rain or sprayed with water. Devices with an IP55 rating can withstand a significant amount of exposure to water and are typically used in outdoor lighting, signage, and other electrical equipment.
In-line closure style refers to a method of organizing and protecting fiber optic cables that involves placing the fiber splices and terminations within a compact, in-line enclosure. This style of closure is often used in outdoor or harsh environments where fiber cables may be exposed to the elements or subject to physical stress. The in-line design allows for easy access to the cable for maintenance and repair, while also providing protection against water, dust, and other contaminants. In-line fiber closures can be used in a variety of applications, including telecommunications, cable TV, and internet service provider networks.
