Product Description

Pre-connectorized multi-fiber cables referred to as multipatchcords are ideal solution for fast and easy connection of N fibers with single cable. Therefore, no extra and expensive equipment is necessary to perform the fiber optic splices. Fibrain multipatchcords comply and often exceed the IEC requirements, Telcordia and telecommunication operator's specification. TEF SafeBranch 1 pre-connectorized multi-fiber cables are specifically designed to be used in various indoor and outdoor FTTX applications. Therefore, furcation point construction based on epoxy filler provides extra protection, thus the product withstands outdoor conditions without attenation increase.

Application

  • TEF SafeBranch 1 preterminated multifiber cable is ideal for use in various indoor/ outdoor FTTX applications. Special furcation point construction based on epoxy filler makes product that withstands the environmental factors that affect outdoor deployments.

Characteristics

  • Safebranch 1 with 1.8 or 2.8 mm fanouts has great performance in tension test and version with 900m tubes allows for routing fibers in already dense assembled cabinets/racks. Spiral wrap at the output of furcation point prevents from kinking of 900m tubes. Easy installation by cable ties. Product is available with SM and MM fibers and with many connector types (SCUPC; FCUPC; LCUPC; SCAPC; E2000UPC; E2000APC; FCAPC; LCAPC)

What's in the box?

Fiber Type (ITU) - OS2 G.657.A1

Each type of single-mode fiber has its own area of application, and the evolution of these optical fiber specifications reflects the evolution of transmission system technology from the earliest installation of single-mode optical fiber to the present day. Choose the right fiber is very important for each project/installation. The OS2 G.657 standard single-mode fibers were developed to allow a better bending radius regarding the G.652 standard. For the OS2 G.657 fiber there are 4 subcategories: G.657.A1, G.657.A2, G.657.B2, G.657.B3. The G.657.A1 fiber type is characterized by 10 mm minimum bending radius. These specifications of the G.657 fibers allow to have a better cost-efficiency due to compact cable designs and reduced space requirements.

FO Connector Type 1 - LC

LC FO Connector is a small form factor fiber optic connector that uses a 1,25mm ceramic ferrule to align and connect optical fibers. Used in high-speed communication networks.Provides low insertion loss and high return loss. The connector is easy to install and provides a secure and reliable connection for both single-mode and multimode fiber optic cables. Its compact size makes it ideal for applications where space is limited, such as data centers, telecommunication rooms, and fiber-to-the-home installations.

FO Polish Connector 1 - PC

PC (Physical Contact), is a type of polishing procedure that makes flat surfacein the ferrule end face. The optical return loss of PC connectors is >-40dB. PC connectors may only be mated with other PC or UPC connectors. It can be identified by the blue boot and is used in single-mode and multi-mode fibers. This polishing procedure is outdated and is replaced by UPC.
