Product Details

Product Description

The 48FO (4x12) Indoor/Outdoor Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cable MM OM3 Anti Rodent 5000N U-DQ(ZN)BH B2ca Black (Part number: LKD8UA5BK080000) from KERPEN DATACOM with 48FO and Anti Rodent construction . Indoor/Outdoor fiber optic cable is prepared for both environmental requirements, indoor and outdoor optical networks, which can be run in duct, direct buried or aerial in the outside plant. By installing this cable, there's no need of costly splice junctions when entering into buildings because of the adaptability of the cable.

Fibre optic universal cable, multi tube, longitudinally watertight, with non-metallic rodent protection.

  • For use in highly sensitive buildings with very high fire protection requirements such as escape routes in care and support facilities, hospitals, etc. Suitable for campus/ backbone cabling and for the use in generic cabling acc. to ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173. Especially suitable for mounting of distribution heads für pre-assembled trunks and for splicing technology. Building entries without additional transition points (splices) possible.

  • Universal cable for fixed installation. Not suitable for underground laying (direct buried).

Fiber Type (ITU) - OM3 G.651.1

OM3 (Optical Multimode 3) is a type of multimode fiber defined by the G.651.1 standard. It has a core diameter of 50 microns and is designed for higher-bandwidth applications over longer distances than OM2, supporting up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 300 meters and 40 Gbps over distances of up to 100 meters. OM3 is commonly used for data center and enterprise networks and is optimized for use with VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) sources.

FOC Construction - Loose tube

While using a loose tube construction in cables, you can:

  • Pull and stretch without causing fractures from bending or tension;
  • Have full resistant protection of the fiber core, cladding and coating (mechanical protection and UV protection);
  • Reach optimized performances at extreme temperatures;
  • Avoid the risk of environmental damage (including water damage).

The loose tube construction solution can be chosen for the following applications:

  • Direct buried;
  • Aerial;
  • Duct;
  • Rodent resistant;
  • Indoor and outdoor;
  • Water-blocking;
  • Temperature endurance.

FOC Protection - Anti Rodent

Anti-Rodent is a type of fiber optic cable protection designed to prevent damage from rodents such as rats, mice, and squirrels. This protection is achieved by applying a special coating or tape to the cable, making it difficult for rodents to chew through the cable and cause damage. Anti-rodent protection is particularly important in outdoor and underground installations where rodents are common, and can help to prevent costly and time-consuming repairs.
