The LC/PC-LC/PC Uniboot Fiber Patch Cord Duplex SM E9 OS2 3m (Part number: LKD9A1998KK0030) from KERPEN DATACOM is a Duplex patch cord with LC/PC connector at one side and a LC/PC connector at the other one. Fiber patch cords are a type of cables that have two connectors on both ends. Optic patch cords can come in simplex (1 fiber), duplex (2 fibers) or in MPO (12 fibers). The connectors on both sides of the patch cord, allow it to be quickly connected to another device such as an optical switch or other telecommunications/computer device.

PC (Physical Contact), is a type of polishing procedure that makes flat surfacein the ferrule end face. The optical return loss of PC connectors is >-40dB. PC connectors may only be mated with other PC or UPC connectors. It can be identified by the blue boot and is used in single-mode and multi-mode fibers. This polishing procedure is outdated and is replaced by UPC.
