Product Description

The LC/PC-LC/PC Uniboot HD Fiber Patch Cord Duplex MM OM3 2m Aqua (Part number: LKD9A1118730000) from KERPEN DATACOM is a Duplex patch cord with LC/PC connector at one side and a LC/PC connector at the other one. Fiber patch cords are a type of cables that have two connectors on both ends. Optic patch cords can come in simplex (1 fiber), duplex (2 fibers) or in MPO (12 fibers). The connectors on both sides of the patch cord, allow it to be quickly connected to another device such as an optical switch or other telecommunications/computer device.

Round fiber optic patch cord assembled with LC duplex uniboot HD - LC duplex uniboot HD.

Characteristics

  • Cable with two fibers under a common sheath. Due to the latch particularly suitable for applications in data centers with high packing density. Space saving, bendable in all axes, highly flexible.

Fiber Type (ITU) - OM3 G.651.1

OM3 (Optical Multimode 3) is a type of multimode fiber defined by the G.651.1 standard. It has a core diameter of 50 microns and is designed for higher-bandwidth applications over longer distances than OM2, supporting up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 300 meters and 40 Gbps over distances of up to 100 meters. OM3 is commonly used for data center and enterprise networks and is optimized for use with VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) sources.

Jacket Material - FRNC

FRNC (flame-retardant, non-corrosive) is a jacket material that is designed to limit the spread of fire and reduce the emission of toxic fumes. It is used in environments where safety is a primary concern, such as hospitals, schools, and public buildings. FRNC is highly resistant to moisture and chemicals, making it suitable for harsh environments. It is also non-corrosive, which means it will not degrade over time or cause damage to other materials. However, it may be more expensive than other cable jacket materials.

Configuration - Duplex

A Duplex configuration is a type of cabling arrangement commonly used in data centers and telecommunication networks. It consists of a two fibers cable , terminated with two connector at each end. It is normaly used in Simplex data transmition.

FO Connector Type 1 - LC

LC FO Connector is a small form factor fiber optic connector that uses a 1,25mm ceramic ferrule to align and connect optical fibers. Used in high-speed communication networks.Provides low insertion loss and high return loss. The connector is easy to install and provides a secure and reliable connection for both single-mode and multimode fiber optic cables. Its compact size makes it ideal for applications where space is limited, such as data centers, telecommunication rooms, and fiber-to-the-home installations.

FO Polish Connector 1 - PC

PC (Physical Contact), is a type of polishing procedure that makes flat surfacein the ferrule end face. The optical return loss of PC connectors is >-40dB. PC connectors may only be mated with other PC or UPC connectors. It can be identified by the blue boot and is used in single-mode and multi-mode fibers. This polishing procedure is outdated and is replaced by UPC.
