The 12FO (1x12) Special Aerial/Ground Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cable SM G.652.D Dielectric Armoured from Prysmian is a Overhead & Duct Multipurpose Fiber Optic Cables with 12FO. Aerial self support figure 8 fiber optical cable configuration is the one in which the conductors and the steel strand which supports the cable are integrally jacketed. The cable portion is attached integrally with stranded steel messenger wires. Suitable for Aerial installation except on power lines. The cable design provides easy and economical one step installation and stable performance over a wide temperature range and is compatible with any telecommunication grade optical fibre. The strength member is designed to withstand the tensile forces of the installation and may be metallic or non-metallic. The design configurations of this cable consist of central tube or stranded loose tube.

The 12FO (1x12) Special Aerial/Ground Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cable SM G.652.D Dielectric Armoured from Prysmian is a Special cable with 12 fibers within 1 loose tubes designed according to Infrabel Telecom Specification as a metal-free aerial/ground cable. This distribution cable for optical networks has a loose tube structure containing optical fibres and filled with a suitable water tightness compound, a high density polyethylene sheath with two ripcords beneath and two reinforcement layers of round FRP elements and aramid yarns. The optical fibers comply with ITU-T recomendations G.652.D.

Applications

For outdoor use; The cable is suitable for aerial and underground installation, either in ducts or directly buried.

For the OS2 G.652 fiber there are 4 subcategories: G.652.A, G.652.B, G.652.C, G.652.D.

The OS2 G.652.D single-mode fibers are the most used type of fiber for networking and communications applications. The OS2 G.652.D fiber type provides a zero dispersion at 1310nm wavelength therefor it is optimized for operation in the 1310nm Wavelength. The regular performance remains on the 1550nm wavelength.
