The 6FO (1x6) Indoor/ Outdoor Central Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cable OM4 LSZH Black (Part number: K1FAE02006BPA5) from KDP with 6FO. Indoor/Outdoor fiber optic cable is prepared for both environmental requirements, indoor and outdoor optical networks, which can be run in duct, direct buried or aerial in the outside plant. By installing this cable, there's no need of costly splice junctions when entering into buildings because of the adaptability of the cable.
The 6FO (1x6) Indoor/ Outdoor Central Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cable OM4 LSZH Black from KDP is a indoor/ outdoor cable with 6 fibers within 1 central tube. This distribution cable for optical networks has a central loose tube structure, a halogen-free polyethylene sheath and a water blocking E-glass yarn to prevent the progression of water inside the cable. The optical fibers comply with TIA recommendations OM4.
For indoor or outdoor use; FTTx
OM4 (Optical Multimode 4) is a type of multimode fiber defined by the G.651.1 standard. It has a core diameter of 50 microns and is designed for high-bandwidth applications over longer distances than OM3, supporting up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 550 meters and 40 Gbps over distances of up to 150 meters. OM4 is commonly used for data center and enterprise networks and is optimized for use with VCSEL sources, offering lower attenuation and higher bandwidth than OM3.
Multi mode fiber uses a LED or a VCSEL light source, is a type of optical fiber with a big core diameter that allows several rays of light to propagate. It is used in telecommunications and data transmission systems to transmit signals over small distances with high or medium attenuation and bandwidth to 10Gb/s. Multi mode fiber is ideal for medium-speed and small-distance applications, such as networks backbone and fiber to the desk in an enterprise network. Its large core provoques the dispersion of light, preventing signals to travel further and faster than with singlemode fiber.
