Product Description

Fiber Mountain’s pre-terminated multi-fiber cables are suitable for all data center cabling needs. Capable of handling high-speed 10G, 25G, 40G, or 100G applications, these ultra high-quality fiber optic cables couple with Fiber Mountain’s SENSUS Patch Panels and J-Series Breakout Panels, as well as 3rd party equipment, to provide superb performance. Each Fiber Mountain cable is serialized before being tested. Multimode cables are tested at a wavelength of 850nm, while Single Mode cables are tested at both 1310nm and 1510nm. Copies of all test reports are included with shipments, documenting Insertion Loss and Return Loss for each end of the cable. All fibers are cleaned and tested to industry and regulatory standards (see table in Datasheet). Cables are also secured in at least two places to prevent stress during shipping and handling.

Fiber Type (ITU) - OM4 G.651.1

OM4 (Optical Multimode 4) is a type of multimode fiber defined by the G.651.1 standard. It has a core diameter of 50 microns and is designed for high-bandwidth applications over longer distances than OM3, supporting up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 550 meters and 40 Gbps over distances of up to 150 meters. OM4 is commonly used for data center and enterprise networks and is optimized for use with VCSEL sources, offering lower attenuation and higher bandwidth than OM3.

Polarity - Type B - Reverse

In telecommunications, Type B Reverse refers to a system where the polarity of the wiring is reversed. This is used to prevent electrical shocks and protect equipment from incorrect wiring. The Reverse Polarity feature is commonly used in Europe, and ensures that the electrical circuit is always grounded to meet safety regulations. By reversing the polarity, the risk of electrical damage and fire is reduced, making it a critical safety feature in telecommunications systems.

Configuration - Duplex

A Duplex configuration is a type of cabling arrangement commonly used in data centers and telecommunication networks. It consists of a two fibers cable , terminated with two connector at each end. It is normaly used in Simplex data transmition.

FO Connector Type 1 - LC

LC FO Connector is a small form factor fiber optic connector that uses a 1,25mm ceramic ferrule to align and connect optical fibers. Used in high-speed communication networks.Provides low insertion loss and high return loss. The connector is easy to install and provides a secure and reliable connection for both single-mode and multimode fiber optic cables. Its compact size makes it ideal for applications where space is limited, such as data centers, telecommunication rooms, and fiber-to-the-home installations.

FO Polish Connector 1 - UPC

UPC (Ultra Phisical Contact), is a type of polishing procedure that makes a connical end face ferrule minimizing the interference of dust particules in the connectors mate. It as a Return loss >-50dB. UPC connectors may only be mated with other UPC or PC connectors. It can be identified by the blue boot and is used in single-mode and multi-mode fibers.
