All four pairs in the cable are used at a symbolic rate of 250 Mbps for each pair. Extralink SFP RJ45 provides standard serial ID information, compliant with SFP MSA, which can be accessed via the A0h address via 2-wire CMOS EEPROM serial protocol. The physical IC can also be accessed via the 2-wire serial bus at the A0h address. The SFP RJ45 insert is compatible with most Gigabit SFP ports on network devices.
