Product Description

The SC/PC-SC/PC Fiber Patch Cords duplex OM2 G.651.1 2mm 1m Orange (Part number: CO-D-SCP-SCP-OM2-2,0-2-OG) from Connectico is a Duplex patch cord with SC/PC connector at one side and a SC/PC connector at the other one. Fiber patch cords are a type of cables that have two connectors on both ends. Optic patch cords can come in simplex (1 fiber), duplex (2 fibers) or in MPO (12 fibers). The connectors on both sides of the patch cord, allow it to be quickly connected to another device such as an optical switch or other telecommunications/computer device.

Patchcord, also known as patch cable, is a short section of cable terminated with connectors on both sides. It is used to create fiber optic routes in indoor and outdoor installations.

Patchcords provide a stable connection between network devices such as routers and switches. They influence space optimization and easy and fast installation.

OM2 fiber optic cables are characterized by high quality and optical performance. It is an ideal solution for high-density locations such as data centers, server rooms or corporate (enterprise) networks.

Fiber Type (ITU) - OM2 G.651.1

OM2 (Optical Multimode 2) is a type of multimode fiber defined by the G.651.1 standard. It has a core diameter of 50 microns and is designed for higher-bandwidth applications than OM1, supporting up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 90 meters. OM2 is commonly used for data center applications and LANs, but is being replaced by higher-grade fibers for longer-range transmissions.

Configuration - Duplex

A Duplex configuration is a type of cabling arrangement commonly used in data centers and telecommunication networks. It consists of a two fibers cable , terminated with two connector at each end. It is normaly used in Simplex data transmition.

FO Connector Type 1 - SC

SC FO Connector is a type of fiber optic connector that uses a 2.5mm ceramic ferrule to align and connect optical fibers. Used in high-speed data communication networks. Provides low insertion loss and high return loss. The connector is easy to install and provides a secure, reliable connection for both single-mode and multimode fiber optic cables. Its locking mechanism ensures a stable connection and the push-pull design makes it easy to connect and disconnect. The SC connector is commonly used in data centers, telecommunication rooms, and other high-density fiber optic installations.

FO Polish Connector 1 - PC

PC (Physical Contact), is a type of polishing procedure that makes flat surfacein the ferrule end face. The optical return loss of PC connectors is >-40dB. PC connectors may only be mated with other PC or UPC connectors. It can be identified by the blue boot and is used in single-mode and multi-mode fibers. This polishing procedure is outdated and is replaced by UPC.
