Product Description

The E2000/PC-SC/PC Fiber Patch Cords simplex OM2 G.651.1 2.8mm 1m Orange (Part number: S-E2P-SCP-S2-OM2-2,0-20-OG-12) from Huber+Suhner is a Simplex patch cord with E2000/PC connector at one side and a SC/PC connector at the other one. Fiber patch cords are a type of cables that have two connectors on both ends. Optic patch cords can come in simplex (1 fiber), duplex (2 fibers) or in MPO (12 fibers). The connectors on both sides of the patch cord, allow it to be quickly connected to another device such as an optical switch or other telecommunications/computer device.

Patchcord, also known as patch cable, is a short section of cable terminated with connectors on both sides. It is used to create fiber optic routes in indoor and outdoor installations.

Patchcords provide a stable connection between network devices such as routers and switches. They influence space optimization and easy and fast installation.

OM2 fiber optic cables are characterized by high quality and optical performance. It is an ideal solution for high-density locations such as data centers, server rooms or corporate (enterprise) networks.

Fiber Type (ITU) - OM2 G.651.1

OM2 (Optical Multimode 2) is a type of multimode fiber defined by the G.651.1 standard. It has a core diameter of 50 microns and is designed for higher-bandwidth applications than OM1, supporting up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 90 meters. OM2 is commonly used for data center applications and LANs, but is being replaced by higher-grade fibers for longer-range transmissions.

Configuration - Simplex

A Simplex configuration is a type of cabling arrangement commonly used in data centers and telecommunication networks. It consists of a single cable , terminated with a connector at each end. It is normally used in Half Duplex or Full Duplex data transmitions.

FO Connector Type 1 - E2000

The E2000 FO Connector or LSH is a type of fiber optic connector that uses a 2.5mm ceramic ferrule to align and connect optical fibers. Used in high-speed data communication networks. Provides low insertion loss and high return loss. The push-pull latching mechanism allows for easy and secure connections, while the dust cap protects the connector from contamination and laser beam protection. The E2000 FO Connector is commonly used in telecommunications, data centers, and other high-performance and high power applications.

FO Polish Connector 1 - PC

PC (Physical Contact), is a type of polishing procedure that makes flat surfacein the ferrule end face. The optical return loss of PC connectors is >-40dB. PC connectors may only be mated with other PC or UPC connectors. It can be identified by the blue boot and is used in single-mode and multi-mode fibers. This polishing procedure is outdated and is replaced by UPC.
