The FC/PC-FC/PC Fiber Patch Cords simplex OM2 G.651.1 2mm 12m Orange (Part number: S-FCP-FCP-S2-OM2-2,0-3-OG-11) from Huber+Suhner is a Simplex patch cord with FC/PC connector at one side and a FC/PC connector at the other one. Fiber patch cords are a type of cables that have two connectors on both ends. Optic patch cords can come in simplex (1 fiber), duplex (2 fibers) or in MPO (12 fibers). Fiber Type (ITU) - OM2 G.651.1
OM2 (Optical Multimode 2) is a type of multimode fiber defined by the G.651.1 standard. It has a core diameter of 50 microns and is designed for higher-bandwidth applications than OM1, supporting up to 10 Gbps over distances of up to 90 meters. OM2 is commonly used for data center applications and LANs, but is being replaced by higher-grade fibers for longer-range transmissions.
